Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 7th April 2026

At Vesper & Vow, we believe that luxury extends beyond our bespoke permanent jewellery; it includes providing a secure, discreet, and deeply respectful experience for our clients.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, book an appointment, or have permanent jewellery welded by us.

1. Who We Are

Vesper & Vow is the data controller for any personal information you provide to us. We are proudly registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

  • ICO Registration Number: ZC117394

2. The Information We Collect

To provide you with a safe and seamless experience, we collect the following types of information:

  • Contact & Identity Data: Your name, email address, and phone number when you book an appointment, contact us, or opt-in to our marketing communications.

  • Health & Safety Data (Special Category Data): Before applying permanent jewellery, we require you to complete a digital Liability Consent Form. This asks specific, necessary medical questions (e.g., regarding pacemakers or severe metal allergies) to ensure the TIG welding process is completely safe for you.

  • Transaction Data: Details about payments and the jewellery you have purchased. (Please note: We do not see or store your full credit card details; these are securely processed by our payment provider, SumUp).

  • Website Usage Data: Like most modern websites, our site collects basic, anonymous data (such as IP addresses and browser types) via cookies to help us understand how our website is performing and to ensure a smooth browsing experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We will only ever use your personal data for the following lawful reasons:

  • To deliver our service: Managing your appointment and ensuring the safe application of your bespoke jewellery.

  • To comply with the law: Storing your consent waivers is a strict requirement of our business insurance and public liability coverage.

  • To keep you informed: We will only send you marketing emails or updates if you have explicitly ticked a box giving us permission to do so. You can unsubscribe instantly at any time.

4. Data Security and Sharing

We fiercely protect your privacy. Vesper & Vow will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Your digital consent waivers and contact details are stored securely using encrypted, password-protected cloud services (Google Workspace). We only share your data with trusted third-party platforms that allow our business to function, such as our payment processor (SumUp) and website host, all of which are strictly compliant with UK data protection laws.

5. Data Retention

We only keep your information for as long as necessary. For legal and insurance purposes, your digital Liability Consent Form must be retained securely for up to 7 years following your appointment.

6. Your Rights & How to Complain

Under UK Data Protection law and the Data Use and Access Act (DUAA), you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data.

The law requires that individuals must raise any questions or complaints about how their personal data is handled directly with the business first. If you have any concerns, please contact us immediately, and we will resolve your query promptly and professionally. If you remain dissatisfied after speaking with us, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
